Q. How long do apprenticeships last?

A. They last for one year, we will see the learners twelve times in that year to gather all of their evidence for the qualification, however additional visits can be set up if any more support is needed. After this time apprentices have the option to progress on to higher level qualification or become a full time employee with the company. 

Q. How do the Age-Grants work?

A. You will get £1,500 for each new apprentice you employ plus could be eligable for other grants depending on the candidate and which area you are from. The grants are paid in installements are you will recieve the full grant by the end of the apprentices first year. You can recieve grants for up to 5 apprentices.

Q. Do I have to pay the national minimum wage to the apprentice?

A. You have to pay the national apprenticeship minimum wage for the first year which is £2.73 an hour however we recommend atleast £150 per week.

Q. How many hours does an apprentice have to work?

A. An apprentice must be full time, work a minimum of 30 hours a week and stay within the working time directive.
