Youth Work

Youth work is a unique apprenticeship and is about developing young people personally and socially. In your role as a youth work apprentice you will give young people new experiences, set them challenges and goals to achieve, and allow them to achieve them in their own way giving them guidance along the way.

Every day will be a new experience, your job is to get young people motivated and want to help out and achieve their goals. As every young person is unique your role will vary in many ways, some young people may need to be given counselling, and support, then you will need to organise some fun activities such as football or other games for them to participate in.

Job Role of a youth work apprentice:

- Assistant Youth Support Worker- Level 2

- Youth Support Worker- Level 3
